About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (11 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems. Responsibilities Code high-volume software using C++, Java, JavaScript or Python. Implement web interfaces/mobile applications using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Swift, Java or Kotlin Build RESTful API’s and Microservices. Receptive to learning the team’s technology stack including cloud, participate in design/code reviews, apply academic principles to solving the company’s business problems Qualifications Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience in C++, Java, JavaScript or Python Proficiency in a programming language, familiarity with cloud services(AWS or Azure) Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications If an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
