Job Description

Blue Sky Bridal is looking for a Video Editor, who will play a critical role in our team by producing and editing wedding and bridal content. Our ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and has a passion for storytelling. The Video Editor will have the ability to take raw footage and transform it into a video that is effective and engaging for our audience, adhering to our brand and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Editing raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
Working closely with production teams to understand requirements and create cohesive stories.
Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques, setting the scenes, adding extras/background effects.
Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
Consulting with the creative team on the use of music, sound effects and the aesthetic of the video.
Maintaining an organized video library and help with video equipment operations if needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Cinematography or related field.
Proven experience as a Video Editor on a variety of digital formats.
Professional mastery of video editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Adobe Premiere.
Creative experience in filmmaking and videography.
Ability to work well in a team and listen effectively to feedback.
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and an eye for visual composition.
Comfortable working within tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
